Owner of shipping company to plead guilty to fraud

The Associated Press

GULFPORT, Miss.— A man accused of running a fraudulent shipping company in Biloxi with his wife has notified court officials he plans to accept a plea agreement.

The Sun Herald reports (http://bit.ly/19zXg33 ) 34-year-old Dustin Lee Griswold is scheduled to plead guilty Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Gulfport.

A grand jury indicted him in May on a conspiracy charge and 15 counts of wire fraud involving Harmoni Shipping's business dealings in 2009. His wife, 37-year-old Jennifer Lynn Griswold, was indicted on a conspiracy charge.

The indictment said Griswold and his wife advertised their company as an international shipping business and took advance money from clients, but hired other companies to move their freight and failed to pay the delivery companies.
