CHANHASSEN, Minn. — Blizzard conditions have closed a main highway in northwest Minnesota.

The State Patrol says about 30 miles of Highway 2 from East Grand Forks to Crookston are closed because of heavy, blowing snow.

The National Weather Service issued a blizzard warning for the region and west central Minnesota.

Fergus Falls, Barnesville, Pelican Rapids and Perham are among the school districts canceling classes.

The deep freeze continues with high temperatures not moving above zero in some areas of the state. Overnight lows could drop to 30 below, without the wind chill.
