HARRAH, Okla. — A tractor-trailer rig carrying gasoline rolled on an Interstate 40 ramp at the Harrah-Newalla Road exit just east of Oklahoma City and a hazardous materials team was called to contain the leaking gas.

Oklahoma City Fire Maj. Tammy McKinney said Wednesday morning that the leak has been contained and authorities were awaiting a crew to clean up the spill.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has closed both the eastbound I-40 on- and off-ramps — but traffic on I-40 has not been affected. The Oklahoma Department of Transportation says the ramps are expected to be shut down for several hours.

At least one person was injured in the accident and a medical helicopter was flown to the scene to transport that person to an area hospital.
