Deadly Louisiana intersection gets traffic signal

LAROSE, La. — A deadly intersection on south Lafourche Parish's back road of La. Highway 3225 is undergoing safety improvements.

LAROSE, La. — A deadly intersection on south Lafourche Parish's back road of La. Highway 3225 is undergoing safety improvements.

Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development workers are in the process of installing a stoplight at La. 3235 and La. 657.

The Courier reports (http://bit.ly/1jFkM1a ) the intersection has been the scene of several deaths and is seeing increased traffic since the completion of the Larose Lift Bridge over Bayou Lafourche.

DOTD spokeswoman Bambi Hall said the new signals should be complete and activated soon.
