Women In Trucking launches ‘I HEART TRUCKING’ image campaign

PLOVER, WI — Women In Trucking Association is launching its “I HEART TRUCKING” image campaign, which will feature driver-submitted videos explaining why they love (heart) the trucking industry. Each video will be up to two minutes long and will be submitted to Women In Trucking for online display and judging. The project is sponsored by Internet Truckstop and the website is hosted and powered by Track 5 Media.
WIT officials said drivers are encouraged to create and submit videos sharing their positive experiences as professional truck drivers. The videos will then be featured on ihearttrucking.com and will be used to promote the industry to drivers, potential drivers and the general public.
“This is a great way to put a human face on the industry,” said Peter Vomocil, Internet Truckstop’s vice president of Marketing. “People see trucks on the road every day, but often don’t get an opportunity to know the drivers behind the wheel. We are looking forward to giving those outside the industry a unique window into the cab.”
The program will run through Aug. 15, at which time finalists will be announced. There will be two top winners: One chosen through votes on the website and the other will be a “judge’s choice.” The winners will be recognized at an “I HEART TRUCKING” celebration at the Great American Trucking Show in Dallas, Texas (Aug. 21-23).
