WASHINGTON — The average on-highway price of a gallon of diesel continues to decline.
The price dropped 1.1 cents for the week ending July 28 to $3.858, the lowest price since the week ending Nov. 25, 2013, when the price was $3.844.
The July 28 price is 5.7 cents lower than the comparable week one year ago, according to the Energy Information Administration of the Department of Energy.
All regions of the country and California reported lower prices, with the largest decline being 2.1 cents in the Central Atlantic region.
The lowest average price can be found in the Gulf Coast states where the average price for the week ending July 28 was $3.767.
