COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Last year, Averitt Express committed to hiring 1,200 military veterans by 2020.
To assist in that effort, Averitt is now offering an on-the-job training program that is approved for veterans’ benefits.
Veterans who qualify for the Post 9/11 GI Bill and are hired by Averitt receive several benefits through the training program.
In addition to an Averitt paycheck and $5,000 tuition/transition assistance bonus, veterans can earn as much as $1,140 per month tax-free for up to 12 months using available GI Bill funds.

New associates participating in the program receive a combination of behind-the-wheel training and mentorship throughout the 12-month program.
