CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. — Utility Trailer Manufacturing Co. has announced that Craftsmen Trailer acquired the Utility dealership located in Davenport, Iowa, from Thompson Truck and Trailer.

“We are excited about this acquisition,” said Lou Helmsing, president of Craftsmen Trailer. “This is our third dealer location, which expands our ability to serve our customers with improved access to aftermarket parts and service, as well as a larger inventory of both new and used equipment, in Eastern Iowa and North-Central Illinois. The new location is ideally situated just off Interstate 80, so it’s very accessible.”

Founded in 1982 in downtown St. Louis, Craftsmen is a regional full service Utility dealership with three locations — St. Louis, Missouri, Sikeston, Missouri, and Davenport, Iowa.

The Davenport facility is located at 3698 West 83rd Street, near the Northwest Boulevard exit off of Interstate 80.
