FORT DODGE, Iowa — As a result of a recent increased business, Decker Truck Line has announced a new pay plan for reefer/van company drivers.
The increased was implemented Feb. 15.
The plan is available to all new reefer/van driver hires and current drivers who wish to switch, according to company President Don Decker.
“This pay plan has been designed not only to help our current driving staff, but to help attract additional premier quality drivers to help meet our customer demands and to more adequately address our drivers’ needs,” Decker said. “We are seeing increased business from our existing customers while at the same time we have been able to add some new accounts. We must continue providing the quality of service necessary to retain our customer base and increase both the quality and quantity of freight necessary to survive in this economic environment. In order to do so, we need more high quality drivers to meet the demands of our customers while providing on-time deliveries safely, legally and efficiently. The changes that we have implemented, and those we may initiate in the future, will allow us to remain a premier carrier in the industry.”
In addition to the pay increase, in March Decker Truck Line began taking delivery of 20 new 386 and 387 model 2011 Peterbilts.
