The retail on-highway diesel price dropped $0.037 today to $2.833 per gallon, which reflects a price that is $.0565 more than one year ago today, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration.

All regions dropped this week, as did California.

The highest price for a gallon of diesel was in the New England region at $3.055 per gallon. The lowest price per gallon was found in the Midwest at $2.790.

California was at $2.987 per gallon which was down $0.021 a gallon from last week and up $0.691 from one year ago.

Oil has dropped in recent weeks, but gas and diesel typically take some time to catch up to the pricing.

A three week comparison of prices may be found here.
