Double Coin, CMA name Tim Phillips as VP, marketing and operations

MONROVIA, Calif. — Double Coin and CMA, a tire manufacturer and marketer has added Tim Phillips as vice president, marketing and operations.

“We are delighted to have Tim on our leadership team,” said Walt Weller, senior vice president of CMA. “He has a unique and comprehensive understanding of the tire industry. He has worked for manufacturers, grown sales with distributors and owned a successful tire business himself. His perspective will be an asset as we continue to grow sales and help our dealers and distributors communicate our brand strengths with more effectiveness.”

Phillips will be based in Double Coin’s Monrovia headquarters and will focus on building the Double Coin brand, grow operations and assist with developing new strategies for the company’s commercial products throughout North America.

Phillips has more than 25 years of sales and marketing experience in the automotive and commercial tire industry and comes to Double Coin after a time at Alliance Tire Group as its business development Western Region and national account manager.

In 2001, he opened International Tire Warehouse, and grew the company to $3.5 million in sales in less than two years, then sold the business in 2005.
