THE WOODLANDS, Texas — FleetPride Inc., the nation’s largest independent aftermarket distributor of heavy-duty truck and trailer parts, has opened a new location in Bossier City, La., the company said Tuesday. The Bossier City branch is located along the east bank of the Red River across from Shreveport in northwest Louisiana. This new branch extends FleetPride’s reach into northwest Louisiana.

“With the opening of the Bossier City branch, FleetPride is better positioned to serve local and national customers in northwest Louisiana that were previously served remotely through Kilgore, Texas. The Shreveport- Bossier City Metro has seen significant growth in the oil and gas industry,” explained Lee Stockseth, vice president, Operations and Central Region. “Most notably, the Haynesville Shale is the fourth largest oil and gas field in the world. As a result, the area’s biggest employers consist of primarily energy companies focused in the areas of oil field rigging and trucking, salt water disposal, and hydraulic fracturing.”

Such industries all rely on heavy-duty trucks and trailers to conduct business, making the area a prime location for FleetPride expansion, the company noted.

“Much of FleetPride’s recent growth has been primarily acquisition-based, however, in select markets or situations like the Bossier City-Shreveport market, a greenfield strategy of building a new location from the ground up is more appropriate,” said Mike Paxton, vice president, Business Development and Strategic Planning. “As we continue to further our national reach, we intend to use both acquisitions and greenfields to increase marketshare.”

FleetPride Inc operates 191 locations in 39 states and carries a full line of nationally recognized brand name parts, as well as an assortment of exclusive brand parts. In addition, FleetPride offers in-house remanufactured products such as brake shoes and driveline components. Truck and trailer repair services are also offered at a number of locations.

FleetCare, a heavy duty truck and trailer service center network, has over 185 service providers across the country. FleetCare offers services for all makes and models at all locations, 24/7 toll-free locator service, dedicated website, highly trained technicians, brand name parts, nationwide parts warranty and roadside assistance in many locations.
