DAYTON, Ohio — Kiser Industries has announced the availability of an exterior trailer lighting system that allows drivers to see the rear tandems while turning corners or docking trucks.

“For many years there have been issues with drivers not being able to see the rear tandems and there have been problems with motorists running into trailers causing serious accidents that have resulted in costly repairs and lawsuits,” Larry Kiser, company president said.

The Kiser Industries Safety Lighting System (lights range from four feet to 16 feet on the side of trailers) lights up the rear tandems and surrounding areas while the turn signal is on and will help drivers avoid obstacles that could damage tires, trailers or help allow drivers to avoid ditches that would end up needed expensive tow truck calls, Kiser said, adding that the lights will also give additional lighting for oncoming motorists to more easily see the trailer and avoid collisions.

The product is unique in the marketplace, Kiser said.

“Building a set of lights and installing them on a trailer has given us the chance to fully test our system and has allowed us to work out needed bugs,” Kiser said, noting that the system is SAE and DOT approved.

Kiser said the system comes with a two-year warranty against failure and that every part of the system is weather-proofed and sealed.
