LITTLE ROCK — Target Media Partners has named Micah Jackson as publisher and general manager of The Trucker.
“Micah has been a top level performer from the day he came to The Trucker,” said Target Media Partners Vice President Ed Leader, who heads the publishing group’s trucking division. “His service to his clients, the industry, and The Trucker and its staff make him an excellent choice to move us forward. We could not be in better hands.”
Jackson, the newspaper’s top sales executive, has been with The Trucker for more than eight years.
“It is a privilege to have the opportunity to lead America’s trucking newspaper,” Jackson said. “I am honored to be entrusted with ensuring The Trucker remains the most widely read and trusted driver publication in the trucking industry.”
He emphasized his admiration and respect for professional drivers and pledged the newspaper’s full support in serving that readership.
“The sacrifices they make on a daily basis can never be taken lightly,” Jackson said. “Our mission will always be to provide them with relevant news, insights, and economic and employment opportunities that will benefit them in their careers. I am truly thankful I can play a role in helping and encouraging the thousands of men and women who make this country great.”
Jackson earned bachelor’s degrees in marketing and advertising and in public relations/communications from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, as well as a master’s degree in marketing.
