DENTON, Texas — Peterbilt has developed an all-new proprietary stainless steel, cowl mounted air cleaner and cap.

Available now, Peterbilt customers can expect improved performance and style from the newly engineered air cleaner, with increased durability and serviceability, according to Larry Reding, Peterbilt assistant general manager of sales and marketing.

“Peterbilt engineered the new proprietary stainless steel air cleaner to address our customers’ desire for uncompromised performance and durability,” Reding said. “The new cleaner was designed using the latest materials and technologies to maximize engine life and provide ease of maintenance and filter replacement.”

The new stainless steel air cleaner was developed in conjunction with Donaldson and is available on Peterbilt Models 389, 388 and 367, in both 13 and 15 inch diameters for single or dual side installations.

The new proprietary air filter developed by PACCAR utilizes nanotechnology to aid in trapping submicron contaminants, extend maintenance intervals and prolong engine life, Reding said, adding that a new air filter seal has been designed to reduce contamination and facilitate easier inspection and servicing.
