FULLERTON, Calif. — Telatemp Corp. has announced a low-cost TelaTip Recorder that indicates when products have been tipped and mishandled in transit or storage.

The durable and tamperproof TelaTip Recorder utilizes an arrow-shaped window that turns from clear to blue to permanently record the extent to which a product has been tipped, company officials said in a news release.

Designed to quickly identify containers that have been tipped before the carrier leaves the consignee’s dock, the 2-3/4-inch x 3-3/4-inch TelaTip is ideal for transit and handling of fragile products, materials and equipment, a company news release said.

In application, the bright red, self-adhesive TelaTip attaches to the side or inside of a package and a metal activating tab is pulled.

When a package is tipped nearly 90 degrees or more, blue beads are displaced that record the extent of tipping by turning some or all of the arrow-shaped recording window permanently and irreversibly from clear to blue.

Each recorder comes with two red on white visual alert labels.

The small alert label is placed on the bill of lading, while the large warning label is placed on the shipping container to notify handlers and receivers of potential damage because of tipping.

Suitable for multiple applications, TelaTip Recorders are made of durable, lightweight plastic and cost $1.05 each for orders of 500 or more.
