Timing is everything and the time couldn’t be better to commit to improving your health. It’s time to stop thinking about it or talking about being healthier it’s time to just do it
Yes my friend it is time for the New Year…wait a minute it’s not New Year’s Eve! It’s just the end of summer. We have another four months to go before you have to make that New Year’s resolution again.
But you know there’s never a better time to make a change than right now. After all, resolution time shouldn’t be reserved for the New Year’s. We should continuously resolve to do something positive for ourselves. Something with a lasting impact that will improve all the other aspects of our life and being healthy is the element that will affect all the other parts of our lives.
The main ingredient to being healthy is that you want to be healthy. So are you ready to make the changes necessary to realize better overall health and wellness, changes that will lead to weight loss, higher energy levels, a full night’s sleep and an attitude ready to conquer the world? You have to want it and believe you can do it to be successful. Positive attitude is a major player in your success and along with that positive attitude you need to educate yourself.
It’s important to read and educate yourself on the ingredients of a successful health and wellness program and how you can fit these elements into your busy lifestyle. It is also important to realize that no two people are created equal; even twins vary in their genetic make-up.
The right diet for you may not be the right diet for your partner. Our metabolisms vary and because of availability and poor food choices it’s not uncommon for some of us to be insulin resistant. Most all of us eat far more than we need, driving our metabolisms into depression and setting ourselves up for feeling sluggish and tired. If there’s one common thread in our society it’s the inability to eat what we should when we should.
Overall health and wellness is not just about eating the right foods, it’s about getting up and doing something physical. It’s important to move even if it’s just a walk around the truck to start with. That walk gets your blood moving and if you walk for any length of time and increase your heart rate you will begin to tap into your body’s stored energy. It may be somewhat difficult to find the time and you may become easily exhausted, especially if you’re a smoker, but I guarantee if you stick with it you will feel better and you may even resolve to quit smoking!
None of this is complicated but it does take dedication and a partner always helps ensure success. That’s why we’ve created the Fitness Road, Fitness Line. We want you to succeed and we want to be sure you’re doing it in a safe and effective way because not only are no two people created equal there are a lot of roadblocks along the way. The Fitness Line is a program to help circumvent these roadblocks.
All of us joining together will ensure your success as an individual but it will also ensure the success of the trucking industry to have a healthy viable workforce. It all starts with one and that one is you.
None of us started out being overweight, diabetic or having heart problems but stress and lack of time and commitment to healthy choices put most of us in a compromised position. Don’t compromise your health, don’t compromise your life and don’t compromise your family or friends — get healthy!
