AUSTIN, Texas — Trucker Path, creators of mobile applications used in the trucking industry says its self-titled trip planner app has reached a key milestone with over 2 million installs and over 550 million app sessions.
“Four years ago, we set out on the journey to provide solutions through advanced technology for the troubles truck drivers face on a daily basis,” said Trucker Path CEO and co-founder Ivan Tsybaey. “Reaching this milestone is a true testament to the dedication of our entire community and we continue to work and find new ways to solve the pain points and promote efficiencies in the trucking industry and help the dedicated members of trucking continue to do a remarkable job keeping America rolling.”
Users of the crowd-sourced app can update the status of a weigh station as well as truck parking in real-time and thus, find available truck parking spots at over 11,000 locations, including over 6,000 truck stops, both chain and independently owned.
Tsybaey said that on average, a Trucker Path user saves 11 hours per month when trying to find truck parking, an issue that has now plagued the industry, costing an estimated $5 billion annually.
Location searches can be filtered to show TA & Petro, Loves, Pilot & Flying J, independently owned truck stops, rest areas and Walmarts that are verified to allow truck parking, he said, adding that the app also lists amenities offered by a location such as parking history, nearby restaurants, diesel prices, and over one million reviews from fellow drivers.
Tsybaey released usage figures:
Top 10 cities for Trucker Path users include in order Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, San Antonio, Texas, Atlanta, New York, Denver, and Jacksonville, Florida.
“We continue to listen to the feedback our users provide us and we’re working to add features and find ways to provide the most reliable, useful, and accessible information pertaining to the trucking industry,” Tsybaey said. “We understand how important it is for drivers who are constantly on the road to have access to immediate updates that can save them precious time, money, and provide peace of mind.”
Trucker Path has evolved from a standalone trip planning app into a full-fledged leader in the trucking industry that was desperate for an influx of technology Tsybaey said, noting that the app offers results-driven innovations to promote efficiencies, increase productivity and potential revenue for drivers and fleets alike.
“The expansion of Trucker Path includes its Truckloads marketplace, a load board for both web and mobile use connecting freight brokers with verified carriers as well as InstaPay, its freight factoring service for owner-operators and small fleets,” Tsybaey said.
