VAN BUREN, Ark. — USA Truck is boosting pay for independent contractors.

The carrier’s Independent Contractor Compensation Program provides an improved mileage rate program for all new independent contractors.

Effective October 1, rates were revised to $1.02 to $1.35 per mile, depending on length of haul. Independent contractors will also receive substantial discounts on retail fuel while fueling at an in-network fuel stop, preferred labor rates and discounted parts at USA Truck maintenance facilities.

“Our continued success in serving our customers derives from selecting the best contractors available, which we can do by providing fair and equitable compensation,” said President of Trucking Martin, Tewari. “This represents a significant commitment by USA Truck to the success of our independent contractors.”
