OMAHA, Neb. — Werner Enterprises reports it has been chosen as the second most trusted mid-cap company on the 2010 Forbes 100 Most Trustworthy Companies list. Werner Enterprises was chosen for consistently demonstrating transparent and conservative accounting practices and solid corporate governance and management.

More than 8,000 companies traded on U.S. exchanges were researched and assigned an accounting and governance risk (AGR) score for the Forbes list. The highest AGR score an organization can receive is a 100. Werner Enterprises received an average AGR score of 99.
Werner Enterprises Inc. was founded in 1956 and is among the five largest truckload carriers in the United States, with a diversified portfolio of transportation services that includes dedicated, medium-to-long-haul, regional and local van capacity, expedited, temperature-controlled and flatbed services.
