DEERFIELD, Ill. —  WilcoHess, an operator of travel plazas and convenience stores in the southeastern United States, has signed an exclusive agreement with Terra Environmental Technologies (TET), a CF Industries Company, to supply all its Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) needs.

This multi-year agreement will ensure that TET’s TerraCair 1 is available to WilcoHess’ customers at the island and in the store, according to WilcoHess President and CEO Steve Williams.

“We at WilcoHess are committed to our customers by delivering quality, value and service for their petroleum and complementary product needs,” Williams said. “TerraCair fits well into our model and is the brand that has been chosen by leading truck manufacturers for their factory fill and after-market needs.  That was important to us.  We would not sell it to our customers if we were not confident in its quality.  In fact, WilcoHess will use TerraCair in its own fleet of trucks.”

TET President Barry Lonsdale said his company as pleased to be chosen by WilcoHess.

“A singular focus on quality is a hallmark for both companies,” Williams said. “We appreciate WilcoHess’ recognition that TET has made that commitment.   TET has the flexibility to ensure quality and supply by sourcing TerraCair from a number of CF Industries’ seven North American nitrogen product manufacturing facilities. As the DEF market demand grows, TET will have the production capacity to supply WilcoHess and the trucking industry with TerraCair.”

WilcoHess Vice-President of Supply and Distribution Archie Wood said the packaged goods and bulk DEF program offered by TET is notable.

“It allows us to provide an option for our customers to purchase high quality packaged DEF for the road and fill their DEF tank at the same island they are filling their diesel tank,” Wood said. “By offering a choice of either packaged DEF in the store or bulk DEF at the pump, we will be able to meet the needs of our customers.”

As a leading North American DEF producer, TET has developed a complete supply chain solution that includes manufacturing and distributing the product, recommending DEF-compatible storage and dispensing equipment, and providing field services and employee training.

TET also provides the DEF factory fill and is the dealership choice for Daimler Trucks North America, Volvo Group North America, Mack Trucks and Ford Motor Co.
