Kenworth introduces 360-degree tour on web site

KIRKLAND, Wash.,— Kenworth Truck Co. has introduced a 360-degree virtual tour to showcase the interior of its new 2006 Model T600, T800, W900 and C500 Class 8 trucks.

“Kenworth has made it easy for customers to tour the remarkable new 2006 models with new cab interior features right from their computer at home or on the road,” Steve Gilligan, Kenworth general marketing manager, said.

Available on Kenworth’s website (www.kenworth.com), visitors can conduct their own 360-degree virtual tour from ceiling to floor, cab to sleeper and driver’s side to passenger’s side while also utilizing the zoom in-and-out feature for an even closer look. The website includes a link to help download the QuickTime Player required to conduct the virtual tour.

Kenworth’s new 2006 Class 8 models offer world-class fit and finish, increased driver comfort, and multiplexed electronic instrumentation for a productive, new Kenworth experience for on- and off-highway customers, the company said in a news release. Kenworth also added 25 new standard features, over half of which were previously options. Standard features include Kenworth DayLite doors with electric window lifts and power locks, gauges with chrome bezels, rocker switches with vivid indicator lights, and an outside air temperature readout gauge, among others.

Kenworth’s website also provides a direct link to Kenworth’s New Interior brochure (www.kenworth.com/brochures/interior.pdf). “The new online brochure is also a convenient way to learn more about Kenworth’s major product introduction and the key interior features which provide a whole new level of customer satisfaction,” Gilligan said. The brochure is also available from Kenworth dealers. The website contains a listing to help locate local Kenworth dealers.
