GREENSBORO, N.C. — Epes Transport System, Inc. a N.C.-based truckload carrier, is pleased to announce the purchase of Cargo Logistics located in Charlotte, N.C. Cargo Logistics is an asset based trucking company with 25 power units and approximately 40 drivers.
Founded in 1998, Cargo Logistics specializes in airfreight, expedited and truckload transportation. Epes will continue operating business through its Charlotte terminal facility.
According to Britt Colley, president of Epes Transport System, the purchase of Cargo Logistics will complement Epes’ truckload, dedicated and container business. “We are very excited about the opportunities we now have in Charlotte and our entry into the airfreight and expedited markets,” said Colley. “This move allows us to offer more overall service to our customers. Cargo has a very strong customer base and we look forward to providing them with excellent transportation service.”
