Drive for CFI

When you work for CFI as an over-the-road (OTR) driver — a job sometimes referred to as long-haul trucking — you can expect a life of adventure on the open road. It’s a lifestyle that does require you to be away from home, but in exchange, it gives you the freedom to explore the far reaches of our country while also making a great living.

CFI is looking for experienced solo and team company truck drivers.

Average annual income for solo drivers is $64,000 and for team drivers is $121,703 (per team). This pay rate includes base pay, safety bonus and a productivity bonus.

*Based on average 2020 W-2 income.

Team Drivers

Experience better pay, consistent miles and newer equipment with CFI TEAMS! Working as a team means you always have a helping hand to share responsibilities and someone who will lend support in a challenging situation. Our customers request teams on a regular basis to keep their freight continuously moving. This means that team equipment typically has a quicker trade cycle compared to solo equipment.Team driving means flexibility in hours and consistent miles. Interested professional drivers can sign up with a team partner or we can help you find one through our Team Match program.Additional benefits of running team include:

Team drivers can live up to 250 miles apart.

Student Drivers – Become a Professional Driver

CFI offers several routes to becoming a professional over-the-road (OTR) driver. We’ll help you start the process, whether or not you have already earned your Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL).The average annual income for student drivers is $40,930.* Certain driving school requirements must be met in order to qualify. As a bonus, active military members and veterans can use their U.S. GI Bill benefits to supplement their income. Up to $1,300 per month the first six months and $1,100 per month the remaining six months, during their training and apprenticeship year.

Tuition Reimbursement

If you’re working toward obtaining your CDL to begin your driving career at CFI, we’ll make your monthly tuition payments for the first 12 months of employment and then pay off the remainder of your tuition, up to $5,000 total.

Company-paid Tuition

With a 12-month commitment to drive for CFI, qualified students can now receive fully paid tuition to attend driving school in Missouri. We’ll even cover your room and board for the duration of the four-week course.
