Gulf Winds serves the container drayage, transloading, and domestic transportation industries and offers CDL-A company drivers consistently high volumes of work. As a full-service, third-party logistics provider, our company drivers enjoy consistent and steady work as partners with the largest container drayage provider on the Gulf Coast.

Local and Regional Routes in Norfolk, VA

Pay & Benefits

Current pay: $27/hour straight time (as of 6/29/23)
Benefits include medical insurance, 401k, optional: vision, dental, life insurance, optional supplemental: accident, cancer, etc.
Regional - Must be willing to do two day run
Port Hours: opens 5am
Expect 50-60 hours/week
Weekly Min. 30 hours guaranteed
Early start times, early starters
No set shift time but rather what the loads/Dispatch calls for
Must be willing to work Saturdays (eventually)
Ryder Rentals - trucks, automatics
Truck must be parked on yard

Driver Qualifications

Class A CDL
Container Experience Preferred
Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience
Must meet FMCSA/DOT drive regulations
