Lead Diesel Mechanic

*Badlands Tank Lines is seeking a full-time Lead Mechanic* for our Pecos, TX location who values teamwork, safety, performance, integrity, and learning.
* Additional travel may be required as needed.
* This position is dedicated to working on-site, independently, in the field, and on-call as needed.

· PAY: Based on experience and overtime is available.

· SCHEDULE: Day Shift with 5/2 and 14/7 Schedules Available

· 12 Hour Shifts (Longer Shifts May Be Required Depending On Work Load)

*Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*
* Accurately diagnose and troubleshoot truck and trailer light repairs and service.
* Inspect all trucks and trailers as needed.
* Perform all tire repairs and rotations as needed.
* Repair wheel seals and lights on equipment.
* Change valves on trailers as needed.
* Perform services in a timely and professional manner.
* Prepare and complete all related inspections as required.
* Use safe working practices and follow all company safety requirements.
* Communicate effectively with supervisor on a regular basis.
* Ability to respond to all on-call requests made after normal business hours.
* Ability to work outside in the elements for the duration of the shift.

*Qualifications:*
* Must have a driver’s license and clean driving record.
* Must have your own hand tools.
* Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
* Ability to perform physical requirements of the position.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Ability to multi-task while maintaining composure and professionalism.
* Excellent organization skills.
* Must be able to pass a background check.

*Education & Experience:*
* High school diploma or general education degree [GED].
* 2+ years of experience in DOT service/repair.
* Prior experience with crude trailers a plus.
