COEUR d’ALENE, Idaho — A big rig versus pedestrian crash which occurred on Friday morning is under investigation by the Idaho State Police (ISP).
ISP says in a media release that the crash occurred at approximately 1:52 a.m. on eastbound Interstate 90 near milepost 64, near Mullan, Idaho.
ISP says a red semi-truck, driven by a 30-year-old male from Mountlake Terrace, Washington, was traveling eastbound on Interstate 90 when it struck a female pedestrian in the roadway. The pedestrian succumbed to her injuries at the scene and has not been positively identified.
The eastbound lanes of Interstate 90 were blocked for approximately three and a half hours while emergency responders and investigators worked at the scene.
