CLAY COUNTY, Mo. — A pair of truckers are nursing minor injuries after two trucks crashed on Interstate 35 in Clay County, Mo. on Thursday afternoon.
According to a crash summary from the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), a 2015 Mack truck driven by a 49-year old male from Raytown, Mo. experienced an equipment malfunction and struck a 2024 Kenworth driven by a 62-year old female from Iowa.
MSHP said the Mack truck traveled off the roadway and came to rest in the median while the Kenworth also moved right onto the outer road.
The crash occurred on Interstate 35 at the 21.4 mile marker. The time of the crash was approximately 2:20 p.m. on Thursday.
Both truck drivers suffered minor injuries.
