HOLT COUNTY, Mo. — A biker in Missouri suffered minor injuries in a crash with a semi truck Saturday evening.

According to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), the crash occurred in Holt County, a mile east of Craig on U.S. Highway 59 at Interstate 29.

MSHP said the crash occurred when a 2016 Freightline Cascadia driven by a 38-year-old male from Graham, Wash. was traveling northbound on exit ramp 92 approaching U.S. Highway 59 while a 2016 Harley-Davidson was going westbound on Highway 59.

The semi truck entered the intersection of I-29 and Highway 59 and attempted to turn west on Highway 59, failing to yield to the motorcycle, who then began to skid to avoid the semi truck. In doing so, MSHP said the motorcycle struck the front passenger side of the semi truck, which ejected the biker.

The biker was identified as a 37-year-old man from Mound City, Mo. He was taken to a local hospital for his injuries.
