JOPLIN, Mo. — Joplin 44, Missouri’s largest truckstop, will have a grand re-opening celebration on June 13.
“This grand re-opening marks an exciting new chapter for Joplin 44,” said Jason Spindler, general manager. “We’re proud to welcome guests back to experience the improvements we’ve made.”
Professional drivers, the community and members of the media are invited to attend the celebration from 11 am to 3 pm at Joplin 44 Petro in Joplin, Mo. The free event is open to the public and will showcase the newly refreshed facility with tours, a car show, bounce houses and more.
Big Changes
The construction project added nearly 32,000 square feet of space to Joplin 44 as well as 20 Tesla Super Chargers to the parking lot. The facility, which already housed several fast-serving restaurants Taco Bell, Pizza Hut and Dairy Queen, added a Starbucks and a McDonalds to available options. Black Bear Diner, a full-service restaurant with a homestyle-cooking menu, opened in May.
“Joplin 44 has long served as a destination for travelers and professional drivers, offering quality amenities, dining options and services designed to enhance the travel experience of those traveling on interstate 44,” the facility said.
Joplin 44 is located at 4240 State Route 43, Joplin, Mo. 64803.
