WASHINGTON — The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) is removing a TRUCKSTAFF ELD from its list of registered devices.
“On June 23, FMCSA removed the following ELD from the list of registered ELDs due to the company’s failure to meet the minimum requirements established in Title 49 CFR Appendix A to Subpart B of Part 395,” FMCSA said.
- TRUCKSTAFF ELD
- Model Number — TRKSF
- ELD Identifier — TRS227
- ELD Provider — Truckstaff ELD
Remedy
Motor carriers have up to 60 days to replace the revoked ELD with a compliant ELD. Motor carriers and drivers who use the ELD listed above must take the following actions:
- Discontinue using the revoked ELD and revert to paper logs or logging software to record required hours of service data.
- Replace the revoked ELD with a compliant ELD from the Registered Devices list before Aug. 23.

We used to have Motive ELD, it was the best, but they raised the price per unit too high, now we have the Verizon ELD,I really don t know how it can pass mustard,it disconnects,I have to fill in the location 75% of the time,it is a horrible ELD…Oh and you best change your duty status inmediately bc it will keep you on line 3 for upto 10 minutes even if you stopped 10 min ago.
