Louisiana law enforcement initiative yields 26 criminal arrests, multiple drug seizures

According to a media release, Louisiana State Police Troop F and the Louisiana State Police Criminal Investigations Division Monroe Field Office, in collaboration with the East Carroll, Madison, and Tensas Parish Sheriff’s Offices, recently conducted an enforcement operation under the Joint Enforcement Taskforce (JET) initiative.

“This initiative integrates the efforts of multiple agencies to advance community safety through strategic, proactive enforcement,” the release stated. “Its core objectives are to reduce violent crime, dismantle drug trafficking networks, and aggressively address illegal firearm possession.”

LSP said as a result of focused enforcement efforts, troopers provided 23 public assists and conducted 133 traffic stops, resulting in the following enforcement actions and seizures:

• 93 warnings issued
• 11 traffic citations issued
• 26 criminal arrests
• 20 fugitive warrant arrests
• 1 firearm seizure
• Seizure of approximately 270.3 grams of marijuana
• Seizure of approximately 34 grams of methamphetamine
• Seizure of approximately 10 dosage units of scheduled pills
• Seizure of 1 vehicle used in the facilitation of drug trafficking

“Louisiana State Police continues to safeguard communities across the state by working closely with local law enforcement agencies to identify and address criminal activity,” the release stated. “Public cooperation is essential to maintaining safe communities. Citizens are encouraged to report criminal or suspicious activity through the Louisiana State Police online reporting system. Anonymous tips can be submitted by visiting www.lsp.org and clicking the “Report Suspicious or Criminal Activity” link.”
