Police say trucker failed to yield in Missouri crash
A Missouri woman was injured in a crash involving an 18-wheeler.

GASCONADE COUNTY, Mo. — An SUV driver was injured in a crash with an 18-wheeler in Missouri.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) and the Gasconade County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) responded to a crash at approximately 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

MSHP stated in its crash summary that the accident occurred at the intersection of U.S. Highway 50 at State Highway 19 in Gasconade County.

Police say a 2017 GMC Terrain driven by a 23-year-old female from Linn, Missouri, was traveling westbound on Highway 50 at State Highway 19 North.

A 2026 Freightliner Cascadia driven by a 56-year-old man from Jefferson City, Missouri, was moving eastbound.

MSHP said the truck driver failed to yield and attempted a left turn in front of the SUV. The front of that SUV then struck the front passenger side of the semi truck.

The female SUV driver was taken to a local hospital. There was no word on the condition of the truck driver.

The crash remains under investigation.
