A trucker is battling serious injuries after his tow rig overturned on a rural Missouri highway.

ST. FRANCOIS COUNTY, Mo. — A trucker is battling serious injuries after his tow rig overturned on a rural Missouri highway.

According to a crash summary from the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), a 2025 Freightliner tow unit driven by a 65-year-old man from Festus, Mo., heading south veered off the right edge of Highway N near Highway NN in rural St. Francois County. Both the rig and the towed unit overturned, according to the MSHP report.

The cause of the rig leaving the roadway was not disclosed.

The driver was taken to a local hospital, where his current condition is unknown.
