SCOTT COUNTY, Mo. — Two people suffered minor injuries in a crash with a big rig in Missouri on Interstate 55..

According to a summary from the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), the crash occurred on Saturday Morning around 4:15 a.m. on I-55 in Scott County.

That is when the driver of a jeep, a 40-year-old male from Sikeston, Mo. lost control while passing a 2026 International semi truck.

Two female passengers, one 44 and another 73 years old, both of Sikeston, Mo., suffered minor injuries and were taken to a local hospital.

The big rig was driven by a 60-year-old man from Memphis, Tenn., who was not reportedly injured.
