Woman dies in head-on crash with semi truck in Idaho
A woman died after a head-on crash with a semi truck in Idaho.

BONNER COUNTY, Idaho – One woman is dead after a head-on crash with a semi truck in Idaho.

According to a press release from the Idaho State Police, it is investigating a two-vehicle fatality crash that occurred at approximately 2:25 p.m. on Tuesday on State Highway 200 near milepost 46 in Bonner County, near Hope, Idaho.

Police say a 75-year-old female from Clark Fork, Idaho was traveling eastbound on State Highway 200, driving a blue 2015 Honda Pilot. A 2020 Freightliner, driven by a 72-year-old male from Chattaroy, Washington, was traveling westbound on 200 as well. The Honda Pilot reportedly crossed left of center and struck the Freightliner head-on.

Police say in its release that both vehicles were single occupants, and the drivers were both wearing seatbelts. The driver of the Honda Pilot succumbed to her injuries at the scene.

The highway was blocked for just over six hours, and traffic was diverted onto Denton Rd. The crash remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
