BOONE COUNTY, Mo. — A Kansas woman was injured on Interstate 70 in a crash involving an 18-wheeler.
A Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) crash report stated that the incident occurred on Interstate 70 just east of the 121 exit at around 3:55 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
Police say a 2024 Kenworth T680 and a 2022 Honda Civic were both moving westbound when the 52-year-old driver of the semi-truck from Hecotah, Oklahoma, crossed the center line for an unknown reason, according to the report.
The semi-truck struck the Honda, which was driven by a 50-year-old woman from Overland Park, Kansas.
The crash forced the Honda off the right side of the roadway, where the Honda struck a ditch and overturned.
The driver suffered minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
