ROYSE CITY, Texas — A truck driver survived a harrowing ride off of an Interstate 30 bridge near Dallas.
In a video that has now gone viral on Reddit, dash camera footage from another rig shows the wreck, which happened in December 2023, as it happens.

The driver sustained only minor injuries, police said.

SO glad no one was hurt seriously!!! Big rigs have it rough all over especially in heavy traffic. I don’t know what caused this rig to go off the bridge, but swerving to avoid an idiot in a car would not surprise me at all.

I am curious as to why the camera tilted to the right slightly as it started then followed to the left. I was not aware a dashcam could anticipate the action and follow it. I watched it 3 times and saw the same movement.
I saw the same thing but I have never seen how a dashcam works like I did with that one.

@Linda The original dash cam footage was horizontal (wider than it is tall). It was cropped to vertical (taller than it is wide with parts on both sides cut off). Whoever did the cropping panned it to follow the blue truck.
The part in the middle is the only one that crops and pans. The full width of the video is at the top and bottom of the screen.
