Diesel prices jump another 30 cents per gallon
The national average price for a gallon of diesel soared another 30 cents this week.

Diesel prices are continuing to soar.

According to the US Energy Information Administration’s weekly report, the national average price for a gallon of diesel rose another 30 cents per gallon, rising by more than a dollar per gallon in the past month since the US war with Iran.

Tuesday’s report showed a rise from $5.071 to $5.375.

As has been typical in recent weeks, all reporting regions showed significant increases.

New England reported the sharpest rise from $5.236 to $5.759, a 52-cent increase.

The Associated Press reported on Tuesday that the price for a barrel of Brent crude oil rose 2.9% to $102.84, a day after slumping more than 10%.

Four regions reported a hike in price of over 40 cents.

The West Coast Less California Region increased by just over 46 cents from $5.360 to $5.826 while the West Coast Region jumped 45 cents per gallon from $5.856 to $6.310.

The California Region reported an increase from $6.428 to $6.870 and the Central Atlantic Region rose from $5.196 to $5.629.
