HDA Truck Pride’s annual EDDY awards took center stage during its recent annual meeting, celebrating individuals and organizations whose commitment to learning, training and leadership development is helping advance the commercial vehicle aftermarket industry.
“The EDDY Awards — short for Education Awards — honor those who exemplify the belief that investing in themselves and other people is the most important investment a business can make,” HDA Truck Pride said. “This year’s honorees stood out for their commitment to strengthening skills, advancing professional growth and preparing the next generation of industry leaders.”
Education Supplier of the Year
PHINIA – Delco Remy was named Education Supplier of the Year in recognition of its ongoing commitment to delivering educational resources and training and development opportunities that support the success of HDA Truck Pride members and the commercial vehicle aftermarket industry. Justin Shaffer accepted the award on behalf of PHINIA.
Top Member Company
Ohio Diesel received the Top Member Company EDDY Award for its dedication to workforce education and employee development. Through a culture that values continuous learning and professional growth, Ohio Diesel has demonstrated what it means to build a skilled and knowledgeable workforce. Ron and Lisa Syverson accepted the award on behalf of Ohio Diesel.
Top Learner Award
The HDA Truck Pride Top Learner Award was presented to Ruben Garcia of Six Robblees’. Garcia was recognized for his personal tenacity, dedication to learning and commitment to continuous improvement.
“Ruben represents the very best of our industry,” said Martin Redilla, HDA Truck Pride education manager. “His determination to expand his knowledge and skills, coupled with his commitment to personal and professional growth, exemplifies the kind of leadership that comes from choosing every day to get better. Brain Bash 4 Cash Champion
In addition to the EDDY Awards, HDA Truck Pride recognized the winners of its year-end Brain Bash 4 Cash competition. The winning team, Mudflap Mafia from Toledo Spring, demonstrated participation and knowledge throughout the educational challenge.
Mark Rubini accepted recognition on behalf of Toledo Spring and the Mudflap Mafia team. The Brain Bash 4 Cash competition was created to encourage engagement with HDA Truck Pride’s learning and development initiatives while fostering friendly competition among members.
