Two are dead after crash involving semi truck.

PULASKI COUNTY, Ark. —One man and a child are dead after a fiery collision in Arkansas last week.

According to an Arkansas State Police (ASP) fatal crash summary, the 46-year-old driver of a Volvo and a minor of an unknown age were killed on Interstate 40 eastbound near the 161-mile marker in Pulaski County.

The report states that the Volvo hit the rear end of a 2025 Peterbilt. Upon impact, the Volvo reportedly left the roadway, overturned and caught fire.

The driver of the semi truck was not identified nor reported as injured.

The crash occurred at approximately 1 a.m. in the overnight hours on Thursday morning.

The weather conditions at the time of the crash were reported as clear and the roadway was dry, according to ASP.
