HARDIN, Ky. – One person is dead after a crash in Marshall County, K.Y. on Friday.
Kentucky State Police (KSP) released a statedment that it is investigating a Friday morning collision that took the life of a Murray man.
On Friday, at 6:50 a.m., KSP Post 1 received a call from Marshall County Dispatch requesting KSP assistance investigating a two-vehicle collision in the 7500 block of US 641 South.
KSP says the initial investigation indicates that a tractor-trailer, operated by David A. Uribazo Izquierdo, 47, of Miami, Fla., was traveling northbound and slowing to turn into the parking lot of a business on US 641. A 2016 Chevrolet Malibu, operated by Cedric Cherry, 32, of Murray, K.Y., was also traveling northbound on US 641. Cherry’s vehicle reportedly failed to slow and collided with the rear of the tractor-trailer. Cherry was pronounced deceased on the scene.
The collision remains under investigation
