Marion and Polk County, Ore. law enforcement agencies are partnering this week for a commercial vehicle safety operation.
According to a post on the Facebook page of the Oregon State Police (OSP), announced that this week it is partnering with Mid Willamette Valley law enforcement agencies for focused commercial vehicle safety efforts throughout Marion and Polk counties.
“CMV inspections are about ensuring vehicles are operating safely and helping prevent crashes before they happen,” the post stated. “Commercial motor vehicles are essential to Oregon’s economy, moving goods and commodities throughout the state and across the country. Because of their size and weight, these vehicles create unique risks on Oregon’s highways and require additional space, time, and awareness from everyone one the road. When commercial vehicles operate safely, Oregon’s highways are safer for everyone.”
