MOOERS, N.Y. — One person was listed in critical condition after an accident in New York.
The crash occurred oO]n May 14, 2026, at approximately 3:24 p.m., according to the New York State Police. Troopers say the agency responded to State Route 11 in Mooers for what it called a serious personal injury collision.
Upon arrival, troopers located a Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck with an individual trapped inside the vehicle.
NYSP says its preliminary investigation determined that the operator of the Dodge Ram was traveling northeast on State Route 11 when the vehicle crossed into the southeast lane and struck a Peterbilt diesel fuel truck head-on.
The operator of the Dodge Ram was extricated from the vehicle and transported to CVPH Medical Center before later being transferred to UVM Medical Center due to the severity of the injuries, where they are listed in critical condition.
The operator of the diesel fuel truck was identified as Michael D. McGuinness, 52, of Decatur, N.Y.. He was not injured in the collision.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
The investigation remains ongoing.
