DES MOINES, Iowa — A trooper with the Iowa State Patrol (ISP) is lucky after being hit by semi truck on Sunday night.

According to a Facebook post from the Iowa State Patrol Commercial Vehicle Unit, the trooper, who was identified as Sergeant Albright by the post was working an incident involving multiple semi-trucks that had crashed and were stuck on Interstate 80 near the 175-mile marker near Kellogg.

Authorities say as the trooper walked back to his patrol vehicle, another semi truck lost control and collided with ISP Tahoe.

“Fortunately, there were no reported injuries resulting from this incident,” the post stated.
