BLACKFOOT, Idaho – A local woman was injured in an Idaho crash involving an 18-wheeler.
Idaho State Police (ISP) is investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, at 450 West and State Highway 39, according to a press release.
ISP said a 65-year-old female from Blackfoot was traveling southbound on State Highway 39 in a Dodge van. The female drove left of center and collided with a Peterbilt semi pulling a Western Trailers trailer that was traveling northbound on State Highway 39.
The driver of the van was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital. The driver of the Peterbilt semi, a 65-year-old male, was not injured.
The roadway was blocked for approximately five hours.
The crash remains under investigation.
