Hear from keynote speaker Jeff Skiles, copilot of ‘Miracle on the Hudson’ flight 1549

Professionals from across North America will gather to share ideas and discuss best-practice strategies during this year’s Safety+Security Meeting, which is set for June 7-9 at the Omni in Oklahoma City.

“The TCA Safety+Security Meeting is built on a 360-degree safety model that looks at every angle of risk, from technology and compliance to the human element,” said Lucas Mowry, chairman of TCA’s Safety+Security Division and safety director for Grand Island Express.

Safety professionals must stay ahead of the curve, and this three-day event provides the perfect environment to do just that, through informative presentations, practical workshops and much more.

“Between our expert-led workshops and the innovative solutions on display in the exhibit hall, you have unmatched access to the tools and services driving our industry forward,” Mowry said.

“You don’t just sit in a room and listen; you walk away with a toolkit of actionable ideas and the latest safety products to integrate into your own culture of compliance,” he continued.

This year’s keynote speaker is Jeff Skiles, who was the copilot on U.S. Airways Flight 1549, better known as “the Miracle on the Hudson.” Together, Skiles and pilot Chesley Sullenberger successfully navigated a water landing on the Hudson River after the Airbus A320 they were operating lost both engines. Their actions saved everyone on board.

The annual NATMI meeting begins immediately after the Safety+Security Meeting and continues until noon Wednesday, June 10.  In addition to a networking and awards reception Tuesday evening, this event includes educational seminars and business meetings, which everyone is encouraged to attend.
