Diesel prices went largley unchanged this week after a massive hike last week.
The national average price for a gallon of diesel dropped by one-hundredth of a cent, from $5.640 to $ 5.639.
The sharpest drop came from West Coast less California region which dropped nine and a half cents from $6.000 to $5.905.
The report from the US Energy Information Administration (USEIA) comes even as the Associated Press (AP) is reporting inflation is up largely due to rising fuel costs which began with the Iran War.
Prices are more than two dollars higher for diesel than last year at this time, and more than $1.70 higher than two years ago.
