MANCHESTER, N.H. — Advantage Truck Group’s (ATG) Haulin’ 4 Hunger program is deepening its commitment to fighting food insecurity in New Hampshire by expanding its fresh meal deliveries to Meals on Wheels of Hillsborough County and making its second annual donation to Manchester’s Families in Transition.
On June 25, employees at ATG’s Manchester location delivered a combined total of 1,040 breakfast bundles to the two organizations. Designed to feed up to eight people, each meal bag contained breakfast sandwiches, English muffins, cereal, peanut butter and fresh produce.
The donation comes at a critical time, as approximately 1 in 7 children and over 10% of seniors in New Hampshire are experiencing food insecurity.
“Food donations like the Haulin’ 4 Hunger drive are about much more than stocking shelves—they help us respond immediately when someone is facing hunger,” said Kristin Kostecki, vice president of Meals on Wheels of Hillsborough County. “Every week, our pantry bags provide critical support to older adults and adults with disabilities who may be waiting for meal service to begin, struggling to make food last between deliveries, or experiencing a sudden life crisis. We regularly meet people who have little or no food in their homes, and these donations allow us to put nutritious food in their hands right away. The generosity of Haulin’ 4 Hunger and its supporters helps ensure that our neighbors do not have to face hunger alone.”
Expanding Fresh Meal Donations
Haulin’ 4 Hunger was built on ATG’s commitment to giving back to its local communities and the belief that, together, small actions can make a meaningful impact.
“We are proud to continue expanding our fresh meal donation program to more local organizations that help bridge the gap for those struggling to put food on their table,” said Kevin G. Holmes ATG president, CEO . “Haulin’ 4 Hunger is a reflection of what is possible when our employees, customers and business partners come together to support our communities.”
Haulin’ 4 Hunger makes quarterly deliveries of nonperishable meals to food pantries near ATG locations in Lancaster, Lebanon and Seabrook, N.H., and its other dealerships in Raynham and Westfield, Mass., and Westminster, Vt. The program also makes annual fresh-meal donations each December to organizations near ATG’s Shrewsbury, Mass. dealership.
“Breakfast is a critical meal, and these donations help organizations meet increased summer demand, a time when children lose access to school programs and older adults face heightened health risks,” said Sarah Harrington, ATG director of marketing. “Our employees are the backbone of Haulin’ 4 Hunger, volunteering their time to sort, package and deliver food. They care deeply about our communities, and their dedication is what makes this program possible.”
Together with support from its employees and business partners, including Global Partners, Dennis K. Burke, UniBank, Cummins, G. Lopes Construction, Railers HC and SelecTrucks of New England, ATG aims to continue to provide more meals to people facing hunger in its communities.
