Horsing around: KSP spots equine strolling down I-65
Kentucky police come up on an unusual sight on Monday on Interstate 65.

Something happened in Kentucky that drivers don’t see every day.

The Kentucky State Police shared a photo on Tuesday of a sight seen on Monday.

KSP posted to its Facebook page a photo of a horse walking down the interstate, “somewhere on Interstate 65 south of Elizabethtown.”

“Luckily Post 4 Captain Jeremy ‘John Wayne’ Smith had his lasso in the trunk of his cruiser,” the post stated.

The post prompted some clever quips from the public in the comments section.

“Even a horse knows to use the right lane for slower traffic,” said one commenter.

Another quipped,” Kentucky Derby is coming up.”

And maybe the best comment was “Gas is so high, horses are having to walk to their next race.”

KSP reported that the horse was safely removed from the interstate.
